Currently assigned to the Robinson Nuclear Plant supporting the Fukushima Response Project.  Specific duties consist of development of a Work Breakdown Structure to support schedule development.  Development of schedules (Microsoft Project) to support meeting the program requirements for successful implementation of the Fukushima Response Project.  Review and alignment of the supporting contractor’s schedules (Primavera P6) with the Robinson project due dates.

              Supporting the Southern Companies – Southern Nuclear Division, Birmingham, AL

 

While assigned at Southern Nuclear supported the Severe Accident Management (SAM) program to prepare and align the Fleet in response to the Fukushima Response Guidelines.  Specific duties consisted of developing an overall Work Breakdown Structure for the SAM program defined by Tier requirements; developing Primavera schedules (p6 schedules) covering the EPC efforts needed to address the Tier requirements and incorporating those schedules into a SAM Primavera Enterprise structure. 

 

Responsibilities consist of preparing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) schedules for the Major Projects division of Southern Nuclear for Cyber Security. 

 

Other key roles include working with the Fire Protection organization to develop a schedule for submittal of the NFPA 805 submittal and implementation at the Farley plant; preparation of the schedule containing pre-outage milestones and necessary Engineering tasks to support upcoming outages; and working to prepare the associated schedules for several Operational and Maintenance funded projects for the Fleet.

Supporting the Transition for the Babcock & Wilcox Conversion Services, LLC in Oak Ridge, TN and Lexington, KY

 

Responsibilities consisted of supporting transition activities by developing a resource loaded schedule for transition and completing associated Project Controls transition deliverables.  Those deliverables consisted of development of a Project Control Management System, Project Baseline and the Risk Management Plan for the Depleted Uranium Hexafluoride Conversion Project at Lexington, KY; Paducah, KY and Portsmouth, OH.  The Department of Energy agreed upon using a tailored approach to the ANSI/EIA 748 standard for Earned Value Reporting in the development of the scope, schedule and cost baseline. Additional duties included managing a small project controls staff of five individuals and establishing basic project control standards for reviewing and approving purchase orders, establishment of the spend plan and standard reporting practices.

Responsibilities included leading and managing the project controls organization, with significant emphasis on creating a unified team and growing project control’s skills.  Development of new and enhancement of existing project control’s tools to better support the project team. Maintaining and training project team members on the use of a validated Earned Value Management System.   Additional duties included performing cost and schedule trends and analysis in support of the operations and maintenance of the facility; and developing, reviewing and analyzing cost and schedule data for proposed construction modifications during plant outages.
